Batik cake. 🍰💕

Batik Cake, better known locally with its Malay name Kek Batik, is a very popular cake among Malaysians, especially in East Malaysia. It is believed that this cake originated in Sarawak but it’s just as big in its neighboring state, Sabah, as well. We just know that this cake is a must-have for many families in East Malaysia during Hari Raya celebrations.

You only need a few ingredients to make this cake: Marie biscuits, walnut, dark chocolate chips, cocoa powder, sugar, butter, condensed milk, and eggs.

INGREDIENTS :

130 g Marie biscuits (any brand), roughly broken into 450 g walnuts (roughly chopped)100 g dark chocolate chips30 g cocoa powder50 g unsalted butter or margarine100 g condensed milk50 g caster sugar, Deli Fresh eggs, lightly beaten

INSTRUCTIONS :

Melt chocolate chips, cocoa powder, butter, condensed milk and sugar in a saucepan on medium-low heat. Ideally you should use a bottom-heavy saucepan as it burns less easily.

1) Keep stirring the chocolate mixture on medium-low heat until fully melted and well combined. Remove from heat.

2) Stir in eggs and whisk with a wire whisk until the eggs are well incorporated into the chocolate mixture.

3) Return the saucepan to the heat and continue strring with the wire whisk on medium-low heat until the chocolate custard mixtue thickens and forms a paste. Remove from heat immediately or the mixture may burn. Mix in the Marie biscuits and chopped walnuts into the chocolate custard mixture and stir with a large metal spoon until the biscuits and walnuts are well coated.

4) Press the mixture into a small rectangular cake/bread tin lined with tupperware. And the last one you need to put the cake in the fridge.

Nura Binti Razak

Every person has a role model in their life. Role model is someone that we admire and can be look up to or can be emulated by younger people through that person's sucessful life or his behaviour. I also have my own role model which is my dearest mother, Nura Binti Razak.

She's a wife to Mohamed Sharil Bin Mat Nor which is my father. She is 43 years old. She's also a Kelantanese and a mixblood of Pakistani. She's a really beautiful woman to me. She has being married and a housewife for 25 years.

I admire her because she is a kind-hearted person. She's also a very caring and lovely woman. She likes to help those in need. I remember when everytime my late grandmother was sick and warded, my mother was the only daughter-in-law who took care of my late grandmother in the hospital. This really makes me feel amazed towards her because she never complain about taking care of her mother-in-law and did it full hearted.

My mother is also a really loving and caring towards her family. She always make sure that all of our needs are prepared. I was so touched everytime I am sick, she'll come to my room and brings a cup of water and medicine. She'll make sure that her children do not have any health problem. She's also a good cook. I really like all of her dish that she made. I would feel so proud when my friends or other people say that my mother's cook is delicious.

My mother is not only a mother but she's also a friend to her children. She's also a really good listener. She'll listen to all of our stories and problems and will tell us her opinion. Recently, I was having a love problem. I had no one to tell about it. The only one that was on my mind was my mother and I immediately called her. I cried a river when I was on the phone with my mother. She asked me why and worried about me. I told her that I got dumped and that was the first time I told her about my love life and cried a lot because of a guy. At first I thought that she might be angry at me because my parents forbid the children to fall in love while we're studying because it might affect our study but she didn't. She told me to calm down and told me everything about what happened. She gave me a lot of advice and that was really made me feel relieve.

I admire my mother a lot because she's a strong woman. She's been through a lot of hardship in her life. She never show to her children that she's upset. She'll act that everythings is fine and going to be okay when something bad happens. I can't imagine if one day, she'll gone out of this world. I can't live without her because she is my mother, my angel and my everything. I love her more than anything. *I was about to cry while writing this post*

Me and The Children

I want to share about my workplace practice or practical experience. I'm studying Early Childhood Education course. There is a workplace practice for this course every semester starting second semester until six semester. I'm in second semester and this is my first experience of workplace practice. There were two series of workplace practice for this semester. The first series was on 13 and 14 March 2017 while the second series was on 15 and 16 March 2017. I went for the first series which was recently.

The name of my workplace was Tabika Kemas Kenanga which at Kampung Kenak, Pasir Mas, Kelantan. It took 40 minutes to reach there from my college. Two days after knowing about my workplace, me and my friend rent a car to find our workplace together. Her workplace was also in Pasir Mas. It took almost an hour to find my friend's workplace because her workplace was a little bit far from mine. I had to drive forth and back during that day. The total journey of our workplace was an hour.
The one on the left was my friend that I went to practical with.

I was shocked to see my workplace for the first time because it quite small and was not as I expected. At first, I missed the Tabika along my way and stopped to ask the people there about it. Luckily I missed it only 100 meters away. The Tabika was small and had no space for the kids to play outside. There was also a house exactly behind the Tabika. The paint also faded and the Tabika looked cheerless and dimmish.

On 13th March, me and my friend woke up at 5 a.m and we went out of the college at 6 a.m. We reached at my friend's workplace about 6.40 a.m and performed out Fajr prayer at the nearby mosque. At 7 a.m, I went to my workplace and it took about 15 minutes to reach there. I was lost on the first day of my practical. I arrived at the Tabika at 7.30 and there was the teacher's assistant sweeping the floor. I don't know her full name but I called her Mokcik Nab. She's very kind and welcomed me warmly. I waited 30 minutes for the teacher to arrive. The teacher arrived at 8 a.m and her name was Puan Che Anah. She also welcomed me warmly and bought me nasi kerabu for breakfast.

With Puan Che Anah (in the middle) and Mokcik Nab.

The students arrived around 8.30 a.m. They were quite shy at first when they saw me. There were only 10 students out of 18 that came that day. There were four and five years old students. I started to teach at 9 a.m. Before I started to teach, I played a Doraemon song to make them interested and paid attention to me. They were enjoying the song and sang along. I teached them about shapes which were circle and pentagon. The gave a good respond and I was very happy because they started to pay attention and interested in me. We sang and dance together and the children were very excited and happy. There was also an identical twins brothers among the children! Actually they are triplets with two boys and a girl but the girl schooled somewhere else. They were really kind and like me. They love to hold my hand and smiled at me. Before the class ended, I prepared a traditional game for the children to play which was 'Nenek Si Bongkok Tiga'. They were really excited to play but I was really stressed because the some of them who became the 'nenek' did not move to find and guess the grandchild. They were standing still and just holding the stick and I had to make them to move. It was quite hillarious for me.

With the twin.

The children were playing 'Nenek Bongkok Tiga'

They were dancing and singing along to the songs.

I went back early that day because I had to fetch my friend at her workplace. When I was about to go, the children ask me, "Teacher, do you already want to go home?" "Will you come back again tomorrow?" . I was really glad that they wanted me to come again to meet them.

On 14th March which was the last day, some of the children came early and the parents said that their children told them to come early today because the new teacher said so. I laugh and glad because the children were excited to meet me. As usual, before class started, I played some songs and the children danced and sang along. Most of the songs were from Didi & Friends which was a children tv show.

On that day, I teached them about feelings of anger, happiness and sadness. I also brought them the emojis of the feelings. They were really excited. I also brought playdough for them that I made by myself. I asked them to make anything by using the dough and they again they were excited to play with it. They kept calling me and showed what they had made eventhough I dont even know what they created and talked about it. I was happy to see them having fun that day.

Before I went home, I prepared gifts for the children, Puan Che Anah and Mokcik Nab. I bought cute bottles for the children and tupperware for Puan Che Anah and Mokcik Nab because tupperware is important for mothers I guess? Hahaha.

I was really sad to say goodbye to the children because they were cute and so nice to me. I thought the practical will not going well but it went well and I'm really glad. I'll makesure that I'll will go and visit them again in the future because I already miss them!

We made birds by using circle shaped papers and these were the birds that the children did.

They waited in front of the door to say goodbye to me on the last day of my practical.

Took a 'wefie' with the children on the first day.

I'm going to miss them!

Soya Beans is my favourite drink.

Image result for soya beans drink

My favourite drink is soya beans. I love drinks soya beans because soya beans help to make up a balanced diet. Soya beans rich protein content could be used as a substitute for meat. Today, soya bean production has spread to many countries and its popularity as a food item has also increased.

Soya beans alse contain other nutrients besides protein. They are namely oil, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. In fact, soya bean milk has the same protein content as cow's milk.

The advantage of soya bean products  for consumers is more apparent when we compare its cost with that of other food stuffs. It has been found that the cost per kilogram of protein found in soya bean is much lower than that of meat or fish. Therefore, the soya bean is a good protein food substitute especially for the lower income group/

That's all about my favourite drink, soya beans.

The Death of Kim Jong Nam - Diplomatic Dispute Between Malaysia and North Korea

Kim Jong Nam

The death of North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Un's half brother which was Kim Jong Nam has being a hot topic around the world. Kim Jong Nam was killed on February 13, 2017 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Sepang District, Malaysia. This has led to a diplomatic meltdown between Malaysia and North Korea.

Malaysia has charged two women which were an Indonesian and a Vietnamese for murdering Kim Jong Nam by using a super-toxic nerve agent that killed in minutes. Malaysian police say the suspects rubbed VX which is the world's most deadly nerve agent on Kim's face and had been caught on the airport security cameras.

The security camera caught Kim Jong Nam being attacked.

An Indonesian and a Viatnamese were suspected to murder.

The accused women said they had been duped, believing it was for a reality show and the Indonesian women had been paid $90. Malaysian police is looking for seven other North Koreans who are linked to the death.

The body of Kim Jong Nam was at the centre diplomatic dispute between Malaysia and North Korea because Malaysian goverment refused to release the body without DNA samples and confirmation from Kim's next of kin. This dispute led to a  suprising announcement on March 7, 2017 of North Korea blocking all Malaysians which are 11 persons from leaving the country untill the dispute is resolved. North Korea said Malaysians's diplomats and citizen "may work and live normally" during the temporary exit ban.

North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Un.

Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak denounced North Korea's order as violation of international law and said "it is an abhorrent act by holding our citizens hostage". Police have been ordered to stop North Koreans from leaving Malaysia until the safety and security of Malaysians in North Korea are assured. There are about 1000 North Koreans are believed to be in Malaysia.

my family

I cannot imagine living my life without my family by my side. Family is very important and valuable because the presence of them is  should never be taken for granted. Without my family, a large part of my life and culture would be missing. in fact, i think that this is probably the most important thing that my family taught me, a family is made up of people who you can trust and why you can count on. i was lucky , i have learned differently, because my family cares about me.i know i can always count on someone to help me feel better. i only have one sister that is so close with me, an elder brother that is quite clingy and another brother that is so strict.my father name is Aziz bin Jusoh he worked as a maintenance technician at MRSM Beseri while  my mother name is Fanihah Binti Mohamad working as parttime caterer.we live in Beseri, Perlis Indera Kayangan. but we spend time together when i'm holiday.
When i need to went tothe college , i need to survive alone there because i didn't even know who i will stay or be friends with. iknow myself, i am able to make new friends but i'm pretty sure that none of them will mean as much as my family does to me. everything is wonderful when talking about family. for me, my family is like my world, my everything. now, i'm studying Diploma In Early Childhood Education at Kolej Poly-Tech MARA(KPTM) Kota Bharu , Kelantan.
However, i don't know exactly that i miss most about my family.i love them so much.

Stress Nowdays !

Nowdays, stress is something that all of us experience from time to time. Most people see stress as a bad thing, but we can all use a bit of stress now and then. It makes us do things at times when we need a push, it gets us out of our chair, it makes us seek solutions to problems and it sometimes makes us sensitive to what others might think of us and our actions.

Image result for gambar stress kartun

Everyone will experience stress at some level and we should not be afraid. However, we do have to be careful stress that is severe or that lasts too long. This is because it will become unhealthy and hard for us to control. So, although stress has its place in all our lives, we cannot have too much of it.

Too much stress can be disabling. It can make us feel very unhappy, as if we no longer are in control of our lives. It can immobilise us and lower our productivity level, and it can make us fail to operate successfully. However it is difficult to generalise about stress because a satisfactory level of stress for one person may be a disabling level for another.

You are probably familiar with charts that can tell you the appropriate weight for you to be healthy by just looking at your height and age. Unfortunately there is no such table for stress.
